Providers

Starting and running a child care business can seem like a complicated process. 4C will help you navigate the path to opening your own high quality child care program. The first step is attending these free workshops, Child Care Orientation and Safe Sleep. Call or email 4C to make a reservation.

For legally operating child care providers, 4C offers database listing and case specific child care referrals to families seeking care. Participating in our free referral system is easy. Simply contact a 4C referral specialist to update your provider profile and ensure accurate referrals to your program.

Through Paths QUALITY, Indiana’s voluntary child care rating system, 4C offers recognition and support to licensed or registered child care facilities. By noting the achievement levels of participating programs on child care referrals to families seeking care, 4C helps you promote the high quality of care that you provide. To support your success in increasing levels on the four-level system, participating programs may access free mentoring and consultation services from one of 4C’s experienced early childhood mentors.

Providing care to infants, toddlers, and children who have special needs presents additional and unique challenges. 4C provides specialized support for caregivers facing these challenges. Our Inclusion Specialist is here to assist you with ensuring inclusive, healthy and positive child care experiences for you and the children in your care, with (or without) special needs. Through the Indiana Partnership for Inclusive Child Care, our Inclusion Specialist offers free consultation, resources and assistance for providers. Likewise, through Better Baby Care Indiana, our Infant and Toddler Specialist provides free consultation, resources and assistance for providers caring for children under the age of three.

Membership to 4C is also affordably priced and is recognized by the Council for Professional Development as a professional membership. 4C members gain access to the great selection of early childhood resources found in our Lending Library. Choose from over 4,000 items. Even better, delivery and pick-up of professional resources, toys, books, learning aids, music, and equipment right to your facility is included!

By sponsoring child care homes, licensed centers, and unlicensed registered ministries on the Child and Adult Care Food Program, 4C helps child care professionals provide children with nutritious meals.

4C offers two additional projects for faith based and/or part-time programs. For unlicensed registered ministries that need assistance in meeting minimum requirements for Paths to QUALITY, 4C offers specialized on-site consultation, technical assistance and financial support. For part-time programs, 4C presents the Program for QUALITY Preschools. This program focuses on supporting high quality early care and education in preschools through specialized on-site consultation, guided self-assessment, technical assistance, and professional development opportunities.
